A chemical heat accumulator (100) is provided, the chemical heat accumulator including a chemical heat storage material structure (21) that includes a granular chemical heat storage material and a clay mineral, and has a polyhedral structure; and a structure restriction member (30) that accommodates the chemical heat storage material structure and restricts each face of the accommodated chemical heat storage material structure at least at a portion of the face. A method for producing a chemical heat accumulator is also provided.
