A heat storage system is provided that can reduce a decrease in heat transfer caused by a heat storage material in a solid phase. A heat storage system having a minimum heat storage temperature Tmin includes a mixed salt having a non-eutectic composition, the mixed salt being configured to assume a solid-liquid coexistence state at the minimum heat storage temperature Tmin, the mixed salt being used as a heat storage material.
